Tranquil Knights Massage Therapy. Tranquil Knights.
Spring Clean

Has anyone else been having a big sort out now the sunshine has appeared? It has inspired me to have a good de-clutter of my treatment room and products and then made me realise that perhaps I don’t share my products with you all as often as I should… I use them so often in treatments that they have sort of become just ‘there’ but sorting through everything and playing with them all again has made me fall in love with them all over again 🙂

As you all probably know I am a massage therapist and offer various massage treatments including aromatherapy, holistic, sports and remedial… although they all come with their own set of qualifications realistically most people end up with a treatment combines them all depending on their needs. For those who just want to switch off and have some me time though I do offer some relaxing facial and body treatments too… you can find the details of these all individually on my website here: and over the coming months I will start to look at each of them individually in a bit more detail for you all.

I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce you to the wonderful range of products that I use in all of my treatments as keeping the products I use as natural as possible is something I have always been very keen to do. I believe passionately that products put on the skin should be as pure, natural and as fresh as possible and as such all of the products I use in my treatments are organic, paraben and synthetic free and none are tested on animals.

Let’s start with Neal’s Yard Remedies  (NYR) of which I am also a registered consultant so get to spend some lovely training days with the business to really get to know the brand inside out!

NYR believe that what you put on your body is as important as what you put into your body and since they began in 1981 they have been a pioneer in organic beauty and wellbeing. They were the UK’s first certified organic natural health and beauty company, as well as the first retailer of certified organic essential oils.

NYR know the origins of all of their herbs and ingredients and grow as many as they can in their gardens in Peacemarsh, Dorset and at Sheepdrove Organic Farm on the Lambourn Downs in Berkshire.

All of the massage oils and essential oils I use in my treatments come from NYR and I also offer NYR organic facials using their wonderful essential oil based skincare ranges.

Next up is Schmoo skincare. I discovered Schmoo completely by accident on a lovely Spa day I was gifted. I can honestly say I was not looking for a new skincare range but once I got there I couldn’t stop myself from having a look over the ingredients of the products that were about to be used on me… I was impressed by the ingredient list and even more impressed with the products once I had tried them so couldn’t stop myself from getting in touch with the company as soon as I got home.

Schmoo have created an exciting, organic skincare range with high quality fruit extracts at the core. They wanted to take consumers back to basics and create a range using only the finest natural and organic ingredients.

Schmoo wanted the ingredients to be the main focus of their wide range of face and body treatments to give clients a real wow factor both at the Spa and when using the products at home.

The luxurious range of products are not only filled with 100% natural and organic ingredients
and are also proudly tested on humans, not animals!

Many of my facial and body treatments are offered using the Schmoo range.

Last but no means least is Songbird Naturals. Songbird Naturals offer a small range of massage waxes and I tend to use their products mainly in sports and remedial massage treatments.

Songbird Naturals massage waxes and balms are a unique blend of natural beeswax and natural ingredients for a supreme massage experience and have been used by professionals for more than 20 years.

If you would like any more information on any of these companies or the treatments and products on offer then please feel free to either browse the website: or contact me directly on either 07854 173 955 or by email at

Best wishes,

Sam xx
